Elizabeth Long, Esq.
Elizabeth Long is a young lawyer on the rise. Elizabeth first met Marc Ward and Anthony Cecala in 2015 when she was appointed as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Frederick County, Maryland. While at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Elizabeth prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases in Circuit and District Court.
Marc instantly recognized Elizabeth’s talent as a trial attorney and the two became close friends. In December of 2018, Elizabeth resigned from her position at the State’s Attorney’s Office and joined the Law Offices of Marc S. Ward as an associate attorney.
Elizabeth is a skilled trial attorney not afraid to challenge the State. Elizabeth is passionate about the defense of rights guaranteed by the Constitution and holding the State to their burden of proof. When Elizabeth takes a case, her clients reap the benefit of her knowledge, experience, and personal investment, as well as her ready sense of humor. Her practice is concentrated in criminal cases, serious and payable traffic cases, and peace and protective orders.
She earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2014 from Florida Coastal School of Law graduating cum laude, and her Bachelor in Arts, Magna cum laude, in 2011 from Roanoke College, where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She is admitted to the Maryland Bar.
